Cell Phones May Be Harmful To Good Health

Cell-phone use puts the lives of millions of Americans — and perhaps billions worldwide — at risk in a variety of ways, from cancer to road safety.

Although some dispute findings of a variety of studies, here are nine ways cell phones might influence your health in a negative way:

1) Brain tumors. Although the Food and Drug Administration says cell phones aren’t a cancer risk, some experts point to research that indicates a link between cell phones and three types of tumors: glioma (the type Senator Kennedy has); cancer of a salivary gland near the ear called the parotid; and acoustic neuroma, which is a tumor found near the ear. An Israeli study found a 58 percent increase in risk for parotid tumors among people who relied heavily on their cell phones. And a Swedish study found the risk for glioma and acoustic neuroma doubled after ten years of heavy use.

2) Fertility. A study found that men who used cell phones for an hour a day had lower sperm quality, and those who use their cell phones for more than four hours a day had the lowest quality of sperm.

3) Insomnia. A recent study found that talking on a cell phone for 30 minutes doubled the time it took for a person to fall asleep.

4) Blackberry Thumb. Sending too many text messages can cause sore thumbs.

5) Mobile Phone Dermatitis. Some cell phones contain nickel, a common allergen that can cause an acidic red, itchy rash.

6) The Dirty Doctor. Studies showed that 94.5 percent of doctors’ cell phones were contaminated by at least one type of bacteria, including MRSA “superbugs” — those resistant to antibiotics.

7) Driving Hazards. Researchers have found that talking on a cell phone — or even just listening — reduced brain activity that should have been focused on driving by 37 percent. Hands-free devices don’t help. Using a cell phone increases the odds of having an accident by 400 percent, studies show.

8) Talking and walking. Children not only are more likely to be injured crossing the street if they’re talking on a cell phone but also more likely to be hurt in other ways. A 15-year-old recently fell into an open manhole cover while texting.

9) Hearing. Millions of people store their favorite music on their mobile phones. Some MP3-enabled devices are capable of an ear-bursting 100 decibels, the same range as blenders, power mowers, and motorcycles.

10) Cell phones emit harmful radiation ranging from 5 milligause to over 100 milligause. The EPA has declared any radiation over 3 milligause is cancer causing.

According to Dr. Robert O. Young, Director of Research at the pH Miracle Living Center, "the magnetic fields in all cell phones emit frequencies that are harmful to health and cancerous causing. This form of invisible acidic pollution emitted by cell phones is the single most dangerous toxin ever invented by man! The use of cellular technology will be considered in the near future as toxic and harmful to health as cigarette smoking."

Green Tea is Acidic and May Cause Bladder Cancer

Does drinking green tea really help prevent or cure cancer? The answer is still NO, according to a review of 51 previous studies done over two decades.

The review, published online in The Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews, found that green tea may offer some help against liver cancer, breast cancer and, in men, prostate cancer, but consumption may actually increase one's chances of developing urinary bladder cancer. Conflicting evidence was found in the case of gastrointestinal (esophagus, colon or pancreas) cancers, though the authors noted "limited moderate to strong evidence" of green tea protecting against lung, pancreatic and colorectal cancer."

According to Dr. Robert O. Young, Director of Research at the pH Miracle Living Center, "green tea is acidic and will contribute to the dietary acid and metabolic loads in the tissue causing a cancerous condition or making a cancerous condition worse."

"Despite the large number of included studies, the jury still seems to be out on the question of whether green tea can in fact prevent the development of various cancer types," lead review author Katja Boehm, a member of the Unconventional and Complementary Methods in Oncology Study Group in Nuremburg, Germany, said in a news release issued by the journal's publisher, The Cochrane Collaboration.

The researchers reviewed studies involving more than 1.6 million people in Asia, where green tea consumption is a regular habit. Boehm said that variables in how much green tea people drink and how different cancers grow makes it difficult to find a conclusive relationship about whether green tea helps prevent cancer.

Dr. Young states, "cancer is not a cell but a liquid acid from diet, environment and/or metabolism that breaks down cell via fermentation. To drink acidic drinks like coffee, alcohol or tea, including green tea will only increase tissue acidosis leading to all cancerous conditions. The best advise I can give to prevent any cancerous condition is to eliminate all contributing acidic foods and drinks, including black and green tea."

Prevent Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Diabetes and Aging

The article below is a reminder of something we already knew regarding the acids of Nitrates, Nitrites, and Nitrosamines, including Nitrogen Fertilizers. The article ties these compounds to processes, and cell damage which cause Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Diabetes AND AGING!

I have been warning folks for years that all animal proteins are highly acidic and are to be avoided, especially ALL PROCESSED MEATS, and that there are serious reasons to seek out only fresh, ORGANIC alkalizing fruit and vegetables not subjected to Nitrogen Fertilizers.

In addition, increasingly Nitrogen Fertilizers from farm run-offs are showing up in municipal water supplies in alarming concentrations. This was, and is, a major concern for commercial cat fish farmers, whose ponds are frequently in the South where run off water gets into the ponds and carries nearly a century of old Nitrogen Fertilizer residues.

No existing municipal water systems presently are capable of removing Nitrogens from drinking water, and none even makes the attempt. The answer, of course, is drinking only water from a alkalizing ionizing water machine. The filtering system and ionization process of my new Young pHorever Water Ionizer will remove the dangerous chemical cocktail of Nitrogen Fertilizer remnants and pharmaceuticals while increasing the pH and lower the ORP.

My new seven plate Young pHorever Water Ionizer will be released September 1st, 2009.

Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and Diabetes Linked Directly to Environment

July 9, 2009

(Ivanhoe Newswire) -- A new study by researchers at Rhode Island Hospital found a substantial link between increased death rates from certain age-related diseases and increased exposure to nitrates, nitrites and nitrosamines in processed foods and in the environment.

The researchers note that the role of nitrosamines has been well-studied, and their role as a carcinogen has been fully documented. The investigators propose that the cellular alterations that occur as a result of nitrosamine exposure are fundamentally similar to those that occur with aging, as well as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and Type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Suzanne de la Monte, M.D., M.P.H., of Rhode Island Hospital, who is also a professor of pathology and lab medicine at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, led the researchers. "We have become a 'nitrosamine generation," she was quoted as saying.

The authors state that the time course of the increased prevalence rates of Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and diabetes cannot be explained on the basis of gene mutations. They instead mirror the classical trends of exposure-related disease. Because nitrosamines produce biochemical changes within cells and tissues, it is conceivable that chronic exposure to low levels of nitrites and nitrosamines through processed foods, water and fertilizers is responsible for the current epidemics of these diseases and the increasing mortality rates associated with them.

"All of these diseases are associated with increased insulin resistance and DNA damage," Dr. De la Monte said. "Their prevalence rates have all increased radically over the past several decades and show no sign of plateau. Because there has been a relatively short time interval associated with the dramatic shift in disease incidence and prevalence rates, we believe this is due to exposure-related rather than genetic etiologies."

Nitrites and nitrates belong to a class of chemical compounds that are harmful to humans and animals. More than 90 percent of these compounds that have been tested have been determined to be carcinogenic in various organs. They are found in many food products, including fried bacon, cured meats and cheese products as well as beer and water. Exposure also occurs through manufacturing and processing of rubber and latex products, fertilizers, pesticides and cosmetics.

The findings indicate that while nitrogen-containing fertilizer consumption increased by 230 percent between 1955 and 2005, its usage doubled between 1960 and 1980, which just precedes the insulin-resistant epidemics the researchers found. They also found that sales from the fast food chains and the meat processing companies increased more than 8-fold from 1970 to 2005, and grain consumption increased 5-fold.

"If this hypothesis is correct, potential solutions include eliminating the use of nitrites and nitrates in food processing, preservation and agriculture; taking steps to prevent the formation of nitrosamines and employing safe and effective measures to detoxify food and water before human consumption," Dr. De la Monte said.

Young pHorever pHour Salts May Prevent Kidney Failure

A daily dose of Young pHorever pHour Salts that contains sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3) could transform the lives of patients with failing kidneys, it has been claimed.
New research by British scientists suggests pHour Salts - sodium bicarbonate - otherwise known as baking soda - can dramatically slow the progress of chronic kidney disease.
The simple household product used for baking, cleaning, bee stings and acid indigestion is so effective it could prevent patients having to be put on kidney machines, the results show.
Around three million people in the UK suffer from chronic kidney disease, which may have a number of causes.
The condition ranges in severity from a mild degree of poor functioning to complete kidney failure.
Seriously affected patients may have spend time each day on a dialysis machine which takes over the function of the kidneys.
An estimated 37,800 patients in the UK receive renal replacement therapy, which may involve dialysis or a kidney transplant.
The cost of looking after kidney failure patients soaks up 3% of the entire NHS budget. On average, every patient on dialysis costs the NHS £30,000 per year.
The pilot study conducted at the Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel, was the first controlled test of the treatment in a clinical setting.
According to Dr. Robert O. Young, Director of Research at the pH Miracle Living Center, "sodium and potassium bicarbonate with magnesium and calcium carbonate has shown positive affects in hyper-alkalizing the tissues and organs and thus reversing many acidic symptomologies such as kidney dysfunction."
The findings have been published in the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology.

Doc Broc To The Rescue - Prevent and Reverse Aging and Cancerous Conditions

I also love the reference in the article about doing it all without insurance. That's right! You can prevent and reverse the aging process and prevent or reverse so-called disease or dis-ease by changing to an alkaline lifestyle and diet. Save your money on expensive insurance premiums and put that money to something that is proactive and protective against sickness and dis-ease - good health and fitness. Now you have a real insurance plan. I canceled our family health insurance plan over 30 years ago. Why? Because we NEVER get sick on the alkalizing pH Miracle Diet! Just think of the thousands of dollars that I have saved! But more important just think of the pain and suffering our family has prevented and avoided. This is why I have said to millions of people around the world that we need more education NOT more medication.
ANOTHER THOUGHT.... occasionally, I have a client who seems to be doing "everything" right, yet her/his health condition is still getting worse. Why? These particular people just don't like broccoli and think "pH Balancing" will work without eating the broccoli if they just do the alkalizing Young pHorever pHour Salts. They are actively or even subconsciously avoiding broccoli. The broccoli sprouts is the key component to my anti-aging and anti-cancerous protocols. I just happen to have it in just about every Young pHorever/pH Miracle product that I have developed. The Young pHorever Doc Broc Power Plant Green Powder is loaded with broccoli sprouts and should be taken several times a day in water or mixed into foods. As Doc Broc would say, "You can't do it without ME!" Doc Broc is the Superhero of my anti-aging and anti-cancerous protocols!

Swine Flu: The Reality

by Ross on July 21, 2009

The whole Swine Flu thing is picking up pace again in the news, with the Daily Doom Mail, in particular, running with a series of quite alarmist, but paper-selling ’stories’.

I have two issues with Swine Flu:

1. It is flu. Flu is everywhere. Globally there are over 1 billion cases of flu diagnosed each year. Swine or not, flu is an issue for a lot of people. So is malaria. Over 1 million people die of it each year. Where is the crazy reporting about malaria. Or alcohol related deaths. Or those from smoking. There were 13.4 alcohol-related deaths per 100,000 in the UK in 2006. This year there are 0.05 swine-flu related deaths per 100,000 in the UK. At the moment you are 278 times more likely to die of an alcohol related disease than swine flu.

Or would we rather head to the pub for a pint and a cigarette and have a chat about it instead?

This ridiculously alarmist reporting of ‘Swine’ flu is causing an obscene amount of worry, Government spending and panic in the general public.

Yes, it might be a problem for a very small number of the population, but how much more productive would it be to focus on prevention?
2. The answer seems to be drugs & pumping people full of vaccines and antibiotics. MILLIONS OF PEOPLE HAVE FLU ALL YEAR ROUND. Every year. All the time. Why do we suddenly need to vaccinate everyone?!

Oh, of course, to earn Roche and GlaxoSmithKlein a healthy fat pocket.

Let’s focus on prevention rather than waiting and then drugging. It is really, really easy to give your body everything it needs to successfully fight flu. Swine or not!

The Real Swine Flu Picture

So the papers all picked up on the potential 64,000 cases story. Here is what one of the UK’s leading Flu experts makes of it all:

“A potential death rate of one in 200 cases has been mentioned but that is for the really serious cases. The real rate will probably be less than one in 1,000 and the people who are badly affected will be incredibly unlucky. Many people won’t even realise they have swine flu - around 30 per cent of those who get it won’t have any symptoms at all.

Most people will only have mild symptoms - the body’s natural defences will take care of the flu and natural antibodies will prove to be the best prevention. But it’s worth remembering that seasonal flu can kill 10,000 people every year in this country, although they tend to be the weak or elderly.

Note:

* The body’s natural defences will take care of the flu
* NATURAL antibodies will prove to be the best prevention
* Many people won’t even realise they have Swine Flu
* 10,000 people die from flu EVERY YEAR in the UK

10,000 every year. So far, in the 3 months since we’ve been hearing about Swine Flu, 29 people in the UK have died of H1N1 related illnesses. Not necessarily directly because of the flu strain itself, but they died while the strain was in their body.

However, that does not mean that there is no danger. I am not claiming us to all be invincible - BUT there are things we should be doing to prevent ourselves from contracting ANY SICKNESS OR DISEASE! Swine Flu, normal flu, heart disease, cancer, diabetes or any other sickness or disease.

There are 61,000,000 million people in the UK and 29 have died from Swine Flu so far. That gives you a 0.0000048% chance of dying from it so far. But I imagine that you are the sort of person who wants to have a strong immune system, loads of energy, strong bones, strong muscles, and a big strong heart regardless of this global obsession with one strain of influenza.
Steps to Protect Yourself From Illnesses (influenza included)

To really give your immune system a boost and protect yourself from illness you just need to do the simple things. The same simple things that will help you lose weight, have more energy, get rid of Irritable Bowel Syndrome, increase your mental clarity, lose the need for afternoon naps, clear your skin, clear your head etc.

You just need to start looking after yourself, properly.

1. Start hydrating. Really hydrating. Most people try to follow the Government advice of 8 glasses per day. Firstly, I really believe that this is nowhere near enough (even if you are really sedentary your body uses more than that each day just keeping you alive) and secondly most people only get to 3 or 4 glasses. You should be aiming for at least 2.5 litres per day, and potentially up to 4 litres. Make it good, clean, filtered water.
2. Start eating well. By ‘eating well’ I mean loads of greens, vegetables, salads, low sugar fruits, healthy oils, nuts, seeds, complex carbs etc. Give your body the simple tools it needs to look after you.
3. Stop eating sh*t. By ‘eating sh*t’ I mean chocolate, crisps, chips, sweets, sugars, caffeine, dairy, fatty meat, alcohol, excessive bread, pasta and other white stuff, biscuits, puddings, fried food, refined food, microwaved food etc. Stop polluting your body with crap. And cigarettes. Nothing surpresses your immune system like 20 Bensons, half a dozen pints and a packet of crisps.
4. Start exercising. If you don’t do a lot of it then start really light, but get out there, get some fresh air, get your body and your blood pumping. At least start walking. This gives your blood and lymphatic system a flush through and keeps your immune system nice and strong

This is all common sense, easy stuff. Even if you only do this 50-70% of the time then you’re really moving in the right direction and giving your body everything it needs to keep you happy and healthy.

Dr Young has spent quite a bit of time blogging on this subject too and his advice is ALWAYS worth following! Here is a selection of his advice:

* This (Swine Flu) is a scientific illusion. Viruses do not kill, acids kill. All viruses are nothing more than dietary and/or metabolic acid. The word virus in Latin means poison or acid. All flu’s or acids by definition effect only the gastrointestinal tract due to acidic foods and drinks ingested - not viruses.

So the Mexican Swine Flu Virus that has been reported by the CDC to have killed over 1000 Mexicans is the result of an excess of gastrointestinal acid from the ingestion of acidic foods and drinks that have not been properly buffered by the stomach with alkaline salts or eliminated through the four channels of elimination - lungs, bowels, bladder and/or skin. For these unfortunate Mexicans or others in the US or around the world that have died, the cause of death was due to an excess of acidic foods and drinks, including Tequila, beer, beans, rice, corn, peanuts, yeast, soy sauce, high sugar fruit, processed sugar, artificial sugar, dairy products, chicken, turkey, beef and of course the biggest acid of all - SWINE. That’s right, the acids from PORK can kill.

So 1000 Mexicans did not die from a phantom Mexican Swine Flu Virus but they died from a dis-ease I call, “I Ate and Drank TOO Much Acidic Crap Disease.” The simple solution for protecting you from an excess of gastrointestinal acid from an acidic diet and lifestyle that can and does kill is to increase your alkaline buffering mineral salts. All flu’s or acid outbreaks can be prevented and reversed with sodium, magnesium, potassium and calcium bicarbonate. YES, it is that simple! You can prevent gastrointestinal acidosis that can lead to stomach flu, vomiting, dehydration, diarrhea, constipation, and even death. No need to fear a pandemic, just the acidic foods and drinks you are ingesting. You can protect yourself and your family with the pH Miracle Lifestyle and Diet I call, “Young Living.” That is why I created the products pHour Salts, puripHy salts, pHlavor salts and pHlush salts.

[note: these alkaline salts are heavily concentrated in green foods, vegetables, salads, low-sugar fruits etc i.e. alkaline foods]
* There is no such thing as a flu virus and therefore there is no need for a poisonous acidic flu vaccine made with chicken embryos, formaldehyde, mercury, detergent, and alcohol. The flu is the body in preservation mode increasing body temperature to activate the lymphatic system to remove excess dietary and/or metabolic acids in the tissues via respiration, perspiration, defecation and urination. The key to reversing the symptoms of the Flu is hydration with alkaline fluids and sweating with infrared sauna or exercise.
* Antibiotics do not kill bacteria. Even the medical community realizes that antibiotics don’t do what they are supposed to do. We say with alarm that disease is becoming resistant to antibiotics. They are not “resistant” because they have never been operative or effective. Antibiotics are the acidic waste products of fermentation. To make an antibiotic, you need a yeast or mold and some sugar for the yeast or mold to ferment. The bi-product of the yeast or mold fermenting the sugar is the acidic antibiotic. The acids from antibiotics DO NOT KILL BACTERIA. They only force the bacteria to change. Into what does bacteria change? Into yeast and mold. That is why when you take antibiotics you end up with a yeast infection! That’s the antibiotic causing the bacteria to change from one form to another. I call this process of change “biological transformation” and the reason why you should NEVER take antibiotics.

He advocates living alkaline (surprised?) as a way to keep your body fit, healthy and strong - warding off flu (no matter what the media call it, swine, avian (remember that one?) alongside all other sickness and disease.

In particular, you need to make sure your body has got an ample supply of alkaline mineral salts to buffer the acids you consume, and that your body produces in it’s daily work. I’ve blogged extensively on this in the past (here is my favourite article) - if you read that article you’ll understand a lot more of what I am talking about.

I also think this extract from my interview with Ravi of sethigherstandards.com is useful here:

Your body HAS to keep the pH of your blood, cells and other fluids at just slightly alkaline (pH 7.365) and it will do ANYTHING it has to in order to maintain this pH balance. To do this, your body calls upon its store of alkaline buffers, which it draws upon to neutralize the acids we ingest or create through bodily processes. This store of buffers is very easily depleted because most of us eat and drink such strong acids. To put this in context, the pH scale is logarithmic – so pH 6 is 10x more acidic than pH 7, meaning pH 5 is 100x times more acidic than pH 7 and pH 4 is 1000x more acidic. Coke has a pH of between 2 and 3. So you can see how a diet filled with meats, dairy, fizzy drinks, alcohol etc would quickly deplete these buffers.

And when we deplete these buffers and still ingest more acids…what happens? The body is forced into drawing upon the alkaline minerals it has to buffer which causes havoc in the body – for instance, if the body is constantly drawing calcium to neutralize the acids we consume then the symptoms of osteoporosis emerge (hence the recent research articles linking cola consumption with osteoporosis).

This is just one example. Another outcome is that the body also hangs onto excess fat to protect our body/organs from the damage caused in an acidic state. Another outcome is that we ingest high levels of sugar, the sugar ferments in the blood, creating more acids, which creates acid wastes, which feeds the sugar which has fermented into bacteria, yeast, fungus which create more acid wastes etc and a vicious cycle of acid creation further depletes the alkaline buffers resulting in skin conditions, yeast infections, mood and emotional problems, diabetes and a whole heap of other symptoms.

By eating 70-80% alkaline foods we not only take this stress away from the body, but we also flood our body with vitamins, fiber, minerals, nutrients, good fats, proteins, antioxidants etc. which build the blood, cleanse our system and ultimately make us feel great.

Still, the simple explanation is the one I prefer – eat lots of great, fresh foods and treat treats as a treat.

And there it is…your blueprint for staying fit, healthy and vital. Eat your greens and look after yourself, and you’ll find that your body is pretty good at keeping you well. It’s how we’ve been designed.

Or put it this way. Were you worried about dying from flu this year anyway? If not, then your chances have only slightly increased. The actual Government prediction that was less-news-paper-sales-worthy publicised is that there will most likely be 3,100 H1N1 flu-related deaths this year. A 30% increase on the normal 10,000 flu related deaths each year, sure, but out of the 61 million of us in the UK, I think you need to be MUCH more worried about looking both ways before you cross the road.

You should aim to keep yourself healthy regardless of any one particular illness. Look after yourself and protect yourself against ALL illness and disease! And keep smiling.

Twenty-Five Sceintific Points In Understanding Dr. Young New Biology

http://health-carearticle.blogspot.com/The following scientific discourse are twenty-five important points to understand concerning the creation of sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3) and hydrochloric acid (HCL) in the stomach lining, the ingestion of protein and sugar and how acid/alkaline biochemistry, physiology, and anatomy relate to health, sickness, and disease.

Unfortunately, contemporary medical doctors and scientists as well as alternative health practitioners do not understand how acid/base are created in the body and the onset of latent tissue acidosis in the colloidal connective tissue or the "Schade". Welcome to the 21st century and Dr. Young's "New Biology."

How is acid/base created in the body?

1) The parietal or cover cells of the stomach split the sodium chloride of the blood. The sodium is used to bind with water and carbon dioxide to form the alkaline salt, sodium bicarbonate or NaHCO3. The biochemistry is: H20 + CO2 + NaCl = NaHCO3 + HCL.

2) For each molecule of sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3) made, a molecule of hydrochloric acid (HCL) is made and secreted into the digestive system - specifically, the stomach (the gastric pits in the stomach) - to be eliminated.

3) The chloride ion from the sodium chloride (salt) binds to an acid or proton forming HCL as a waste product of sodium bicarbonate production.

4) When large amounts of acids, including HCL, enter the stomach from a rich protein meal, acid is withdrawn from the acid-base household. The organism would die if the resulting alkalosis - or NaHCO3 (base flood) or base surplus - created by the stomach was not taken up by the alkalophile glands that need these quick bases in order to build up their strong sodium bicarbonate secretions. These glands and organs are the stomach, pancreas, Brunner's glands (between the pylorus and the junctions of the bile and pancreatic ducts), Lieberkuhn's glands in the liver and its bile with its strong acid binding capabilities which it has to produce.

5) When a rich protein and carbohydrate meal is ingested, the stomach begins to manufacture and secrete sodium bicarbonate (NHCO3) to alkalize the acids from the food ingested. This causes a loss in the alkaline reserves and an increase in acid and/or HCL found in the gastric pits of the stomach. These acids and/or HCL are taken up by the blood which lowers blood plasma pH. The blood eliminates this increase in gastrointestinal acid by throwing it off into the Pishinger's spaces.

6) The space enclosed by these finer and finer fibers is called the Pishinger's space, or the extracellular space that contains the fluids that bath and feed each and every cell while carrying away the waste from those same cells. There is no mention of this organ in American physiology text books. There is mention of the extracellular space but not of any organ that stores acids from metabolism and diet, like the kidney. I call this organ the "pre-kidney."

7) After a rich protein or sugary meal, the urine pH becomes alkaline. Protein and sugar nourishment then react in acidic fashion in the organism by the production of sulfuric, phosporhoric, nitric, uric, lactic, and acetylaldehyde acids, respectively, but also through the formation and excretion of base in the urine. This is a double loss of bases.

8) During heavy exercise, if the the resulting lactic acid was not adsorbed by the collagen fibers, the specific acid catchers of the body, the organism would die. The total collection of these fibers is the largest organ of the body called SCHADE, the colloidal connective tissue organ. NO liquid exchange occurs between the blood and the parenchyma cells, or in reverse, unless it passes through this connective tissue organ. This organ connects and holds everything in our bodies in place. This organ is composed of ligaments, tendons, sinew, and the finer fibers that become the scaffolding that holds every single cell in our bodies in place. When acids are stored in this organ, which includes the muscles, inflammation and pain develop.
That is why I have stated, "acid is pain and pain is acid." You cannot have one without the other. This is the beginning of latent tissue acidosis.

9) The more acidity, the more that acids are adsorbed into the the collagen fibers to be neutralized and the less sodium bicarbonate or NaHCO3 that is taken up by the alkalophile glands. The larger the potential difference between the adsorbed acids and the amount of NaHCO3 generated with each meal, the more or less alkaline are the alkalophile glands like the pancreas, gallbladder, pylorus glands, blood, etc. The acid binding power of the connective tissue, the blood, and the alkalophile glands depends on its alkali reserve, which can be determined through blood, urine, and saliva pH, including live and dried blood analysis as taught by Dr. Robert O. Young.

10) The iso-structure of the blood maintains the pH of the blood by pushing off the acids into the connective tissue. The blood gives to the urine the same amount of acid that it receives from the tissues and liver so it can retain its iso-form. A base deficiency is always related to the deterioration of the deposit ability of the connective tissues. As long as the iso-structure of the blood is maintained, the urine - which originates from the blood - remains a faithful reflected image of the acid-base regulation, not of the blood, but of the tissues. The urine therefore is an excretion product of the tissues, not the blood. So when you are testing the pH of the urine, you are testing the pH of the tissues.

11) A latent "acidosis" is the condition that exists when there are not enough bases in the alkalophile glands because they have been used up in the process of neutralizing the acids adsorbed to the collagen fibers. This leads to compensated "acidosis." This means the blood pH has not changed but other body systems have changed. This can then lead to decompensated "acidosis" where the alkaline reserves of the blood are used up and the pH of the blood is altered. Decompensated "acidosis" can be determined by testing the blood pH, urine pH and the saliva pH. The decrease in the alkaline reserves in the body occurs because of hyper-proteinization, (eating steak!)or too much protein, and hyper-carbonization, or too much sugar. This is why 80 to 90 year old folks are all shrunk up and look like prunes. They have very little or no alkaline reserves in their alkalophile glands. When all the alkaline minerals are gone, so are you and your battery runs down. The charge of your cellular battery can be measured testing the ORP or the oxidative reduction potential of the blood using an ORP meter. As you become more acidic this energy potential or ORP decreases.

12) If there is not enough base left over after a protein or surgary meal, or enough base to neutralize and clear the acids stored in the connective tissues, a relative base deficiency develops which leads to latent tissue acidosis. When this happens the liver and pancreas are deficient of adequate alkaline juices to ensure proper alkalization of the food in your stomach and small intestine.

13) Digestion or alkalization cannot proceed without enough of these alkaline juices for the liver and pancreas, etc., and so the stomach has to produce more acid in order to make enough base, ad nauseam, and one can develop indigestion, nausea, acid reflux, GERD, ulcers, esophageal cancer and stomach cancer. All of these symptoms are not the result of too much acid. On the contrary, it is the result of too little base!

14) The stomach is NOT an organ of digestion as currently taught in ALL biology and medical texts, BUT an organ of contribution or deposit. It's function is to deposit alkaline juices to the stomach to alkalize the food and to the blood to carry to the alklophile glands!!!!

15) There is a daily rhythm to this acid base ebb and flow of the fluids of the body. The stored acids are mobilized from the connective tissues and Pishinger's spaces while we sleep.
These acids reach their maximum (base tide) concentration in this fluid, and thereby the urine (around 2 a.m. is the most acidic). The acid content of the urine directly reflects the acid content of the fluid in the Pishinger's spaces, the extracellular fluid compartments of the body. On the other hand, the Pishinger's spaces become most alkaline around 2 p.m. (the base flood) as then the most sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3) is being generated by the cover cells of the stomach to alkalize the food and drink we have ingested.

16) If your urine is not alkaline by 2 p.m. you are definitely in an ACIDIC condition and lacking in alkaline reserves. The pH of the urine should run between 6.8 and 8.4.

17) After a high protein meal, the free acids formed such as sulfuric, phosphoric, uric, and nitric acids stick to the collagen fibers to remove them from the blood and protect the delicate pH of 7.365. The H+ or proton ions from these acids are neutralized by the next base flood, the sodium bicarbonate produced after the meal. The H+ or proton ion combines with the carbonate or HCO3, converts to carbonic acid, H2CO3, which converts to CO2 and H2O. The sulfuric and other acids from proteins are neutralized as follows where the HR represents any acid with the R as its acid radical (SO4, PO4, or NO3) HR + NaHCO3 <=> H2O + NaR (Ca, Mg, K)+ CO2.

18) Medical doctors and savants do not recognize latent tissue acidosis. They recognize compensated acidosis and decompensated acidosis. In compensated acidosis, breathing increases in order to blow off more carbonic acid which decreases PCO2 because of the lowered carbonate or HCO3. When the breathing rate can no longer get any faster and when the kidneys can no longer increase its' function to keep up with the acid load, then the blood pH starts to change from a pH of 7.365 to 7.3 then to 7.2. At a blood pH of 6.95 the heart relaxes and the client goes into a coma or dies.

19) Metabolism of a normal adult diet results in the generation of 50 to 100 meq of H+ or proton per day, which must be excreted if the urine acid-base balance is to be maintained. A meq is a milliequivalent which is an expression of concentration of substance per liter of solution, calculated by dividing the concentration in milligrams per 100 milliliters by the molecular weight. This process involves two basis steps; 1) the reabsorption of the filtered sodium bicarbonate or NaHCO3 and, 2) excretion of the 50 to 100 meq of H+ or proton produced each day by the formation of titratable acidity and NH4+ or ammonium. Both steps involve H+ or proton secretion from the cells of the kidney into the urine.

20) Sodium bicarbonate (NaHCO3) must be reabsorbed into the blood stream, since the loss of NaHCO3 will increase the net acid load and lower the plasma NaHCO3 concentration. The loss of NaHCO3 in the urine is equivalent to the addition of H+ to the body since both are derived from the dissociation of H2CO3 or carbonic acid.

21) The biochemistry is: CO2 + H2O = H2CO3 = HCO3 + H+. The normal subject must reabsorb 4300 meq of NaHCO3 each day! The secreted H+ or proton ions are generated within the kidney cells from the dissociation of H2O or water. This process also results in the equimolar production OH- or hydroxyl ions. The OH- ions bind to the active zinc-containing site of the intracellular carbonic anhydrase; they then combine with CO2 to form HCO3- ions which are released back into the kidney cells and returned to the systemic circulation. Second, the dietary acid load is excreted by the secretion of H+ or proton ions from the kidney cells into the urine. These H+ or proton ions can do one of two things: the H+ or proton ions can be combined with the urinary buffers, particularly HPO4, in a process called titratable acidity (The biochemistry is: H+ + HPO4 = H2PO4), or the phosphate buffering system or the H+ or proton ions can combine with ammonia (NH3) to form ammonium as follows:
NH3 + H+ = NH4.

22) This ammonia is trapped and concentrated in the kidney as ammonium which is then excreted in the urine.

"text-align: justify;">
23) In response to acid load, 36% of the H+ or proton goes intracellular in exchange for the release of Na+ (sodium) into the blood stream. 15% of the acid goes intracellular in exchange for K+ (potassium) - common in diabetics. 6% of the H+ or proton or acid goes directly into the cell to be buffered by intracellular processes. 43% is buffered extracellularly as NaHCO3- or sodium bicarbonate combining with H+ or proton to form H2CO3 or carbonic acid which breaks down to CO2 or carbon dioxide to be released by the lungs. 10% of CO2 or carbon dioxide is excreted through the lungs and 90% is used by the body to reabsorb alkaline minerals and make sodium bicarbonate.
The biochemistry is: CO2 + H2O = H2CO3 = HCO3 + H+.

24) Of all the ways the body can buffer metabolic and dietary acids, the excretion of protein (the eating of steak) generated acid residues is the only process that does not add sodium bicarbonate back into blood circulation. This creates a loss of bases which is the forerunner of all sickness and disease. In the long run, the only way to replace these lost bases is by eating more alkaline electron-rich green foods and long-chain polyunsaturated fats. A cucumber a day keeps the doctor away - an apple creates more acid, leading to latent tissue acidosis.

25) The Human Body is an acid producing organism by function. Yet, it is an alkaline organism by design. Eating animal protein and sugar are deadly acidic choices - unless you want to be increasingly sick, tired and fat over time.

Bottom line - the pH Miracle Lifestyle and Diet is a program focuses on the foundational principal that the body is alkaline by design and yet acidic by function. This make this program the ultimate program for preventing and reversing aging and the onset of sickness and dis-ease. I would say that the pH Miracle Lifestyle and Diet is the diet for immortality.

Please remember this very important truth, hydrochloric acid is not the cause of digestion but the result of digestion. Start alkalizing today and begin improving the quality and quantity of your life today.

10 Most Common Medical Challenges for Baby Boomers

In the year 2030, the youngest members of the baby boomer generation will hit 65, making up nearly a quarter of the country’s population, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. If current elderly Americans are a precursor of what is to come, they will experience acidic health challenges such as diabetes, dementia, depression and functional disability in record numbers.
But their huge presence may also open up specialized emergency rooms and critical care units, encourage more research into the mysteries of the aging body and place a focus on specialized geriatric and end-of-life care.
Here is a snapshot of 10 of the acidic health challenges that may be staring back at baby boomers:
1. Functional Acidic Decline: According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the body loses 1 percent of muscle mass a year beginning at age 45, which can result in sarcopenia as skeletal muscle is eventually replaced with fat and the body becomes weaker. Some research has linked protein deficiency with sarcopenia but I linked it to a compromised acidic bowel which gives rise to weak blood cells and in turn weak body or muscle cells.
For every week spent in the hospital, it takes an aging body a month to recover muscle strength with daily rehabilitation, says geriatrician Liliana Andrade, M.D., assistant professor of internal medicine at the UT Medical School at Houston. Exercise, including resistance and strength training, is absolutely essential for retaining muscle mass and strength. “For balance, tai chi is good,” she says. “We also encourage patients to rent ‘sit and be fit’ videos that use hand and leg weights.” A study published recently in Diabetes Care, a journal of the American Diabetes Association, found that older adults—especially women—with diagnosed or undiagnosed type 2 diabetes had a higher rate of skeletal muscle loss.
My recommendation here is engage in alkalizing exercises everyday for at least 1 hour a day. This would include Younga Yoga, jogging, swimming, rebounding, whole body vibrational exercising, etc.
2. Depression: Considered as prevalent as the common cold in the elderly, depression can be the result of major life changes, including retirement, losing loved ones and loss of mobility and independence. It can show up differently in older people, says geriatrician Nasiya Ahmed, M.D., assistant professor of internal medicine at the UT Medical School at Houston. “There’s not as much of a tendency toward tearfulness or feelings of hopelessness,” she says. “Instead they have vague somatic complaints, increased pain, not sleeping or eating well or general apathy.”
If you want to think and feel better you MUST maintain the alkaline design of the body with an alkaline lifestyle and diet.
3. Dis-ease or so-called Disease: Chronic dis-ease or so-called diseases associated with the aging process, including high blood pressure, stroke, cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, hypothyroidism, constipation, incontinence and arthritis, can take their toll and are ALL conditions of over-acidity. Preventive measures taken now such as quitting acid smoking, eating healthy alkaline raw food and drink and alkalizing exercising are all important steps toward a better quality of life. Even quitting smoking at age 60 is better than not quitting at all. The same goes for the acid SUGAR!
4. Polypharmacy: A term geriatricians are using for the number of prescription and over-the-counter acidic medications that elderly people are taking in alarming numbers is polypharmacy. “People go to five different doctors and none of the others know what is going on,” Ahmed says. In some cases, seniors who wind up in the hospital may be prescribed a different medication for an existing condition such as high blood pressure because the hospital doesn’t stock the particular one they’ve been taking in the past. The patient returns home with a new prescription from the hospital physician and continues taking the other medication as well, which can be deadly. “I’ve had patients come in who are taking 20 different medications,” Andrade says. The solution, they say, is to have a written record of all prescriptions, supplements and vitamins that they can bring to their appointments and have a family practitioner or geriatrician who understand Dr. Young's New Biology and can be the lead physician in managing their care.
5. Falls: Low blood pressure, which can be a result of poorly managed hypertension, dehydration, and over-acidity can lead to dizziness. That dizziness, combined with a decreased ability of the vascular system to compensate for changes in position such as standing up, is the largest cause of falls, they say. “So many patients have told me that they take blood pressure medication when they feel like it’s high instead of taking it as it is prescribed,” Ahmed says. “I ask them how they know it’s high and they give vague signs such as their nose tingles or their tremor worsening.” Taking acidic medications for sleep can also be dangerous. “Some take the acid Benadryl to help them sleep and as people get older, that’s not such a good thing because it causes confusion and they can fall because they’re sleepy,” Andrade says.
6. Abuse and neglect: These two problems, including self-neglect, will continue to afflict the elderly, says Carmel B. Dyer, M.D., professor and director of the geriatric and palliative medicine division at the UT Medical School at Houston and co-author of the book, “Elder Abuse Detection and Intervention.” Education programs, such as the Houston Geriatric Education Center at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, are needed now to train physicians to recognize the signs of abuse and neglect.
7. Financial exploitation: Vulnerable elderly people can easily become victims of family members or caregivers. “We see cases where grown children have moved back in with them and are depending on them financially. They use their resources, borrow the car, rely on them to baby sit, and it upsets the senior’s ability to function,” Ahmed says. “I had one patient in her early 80s whose leg had just been amputated and she was still babysitting her 11- and 12-year-old grandchildren, who were taunting her.”
8. Dementia: Alzheimer’s disease is the most common form of the acidic condition dementia, a gradual decline in a person’s mental functioning, and is the fifth leading cause of death for Americans over age 65, according to the National Center for Health Statistics. The Alzheimer’s Association reports that Alzheimer’s disease and dementia triple healthcare costs for people over 65. But education about dementia and possible treatments including medications is lacking, Ahmed and Andrade say. “There are now more medications that are helpful. They can’t cure it, but they can help,” Andrade says. “Unfortunately, a lot of people are in denial. I had a 78-year-old patient who I knew was suffering from dementia because of the way he was managing his medications and health. But his son got upset when I started talking about it and they left the room.”
The symptoms of dementia can be improved with an alkaline lifestyle and diet.
9. Caregiver burnout: As baby boomers age, many will also be taking care of their own aging parents. That brings caregiver burden, which can lead to a higher risk for depression and other stress-related illnesses. Ahmed says caregivers should solicit health resources, such as daycare for seniors, to help them shoulder the stress. They should take advantage of support groups and ask social workers regularly about available community resources. Special units for acute care for the elderly (ACE units), such as the one at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center where UT physicians see patients, can help make hospitalizations less stressful for the patient and family.
10. Death and dying: Baby boomers will have to decide how they want to live out the end of their lives and how they want to die. Cultural and religious beliefs will impact these decisions and physicians will need to be sensitive to that, Ahmed says. As patients age, the physician begins to play a larger role in a patient’s life and strong physician-patient relationships will be important in determhttp://health-carearticle.blogspot.com/ining a patient’s wishes. People should make those wishes known to family members and caregivers and put them in writing.
Of course, if you want to be healthy, energetic and strong then may I suggest an alkaline lifestyle and diet. Then the end years can become the best years of your life full of energy and vitality! No need to die sick. Have you considered dieing healthy and strong? Or maybe just by-passing the death thing all together. May I suggest the pH Miracle Lifestyle and Diet - The Diet for Immortality!
